Choosing the Correct Reference Photo

Upload a reference photo taken from the same angle, with similar lighting and resolution as the original if:

  • You’d like something removed from the image that blocks too much detail that we can’t recreate. (i.e. There is a large cup on a table in front of your child. In order to remove it, we need another photo of the child uncovered.)
  • You’d like a head swapped or person added.

Whenever possible, it's best to submit reference photos taken from the same session, with similar lighting. Since the boy is backlit by the sun in the original image, the green checked reference photo will ensure the best results since the angle and lighting are exactly the same. The last photo is an image that wouldn't work well, since the lighting is considerably different and the image is low resolution and blurry compared to the original.
